Tips for a nervous flyer

If your a nervous flyer like me, you get the constant butterflies, the anxiety over what your going to pack, what if your baggage goes missing or what will happen if your flight is late? Over the years I have come up with ways to relax and still get everything done before you travel!

1.make a list

Yes it may seem old fashion , but making a list can relieve a lot of stress. It’s proven that by preparing things makes the mind more relaxed. This gives you more time to look forward to your holiday then stressing out over what needs to be done and what needs to be packed.

2. Chamomile tea

If you’re a stress head like me, you will know that whatever you are worrying about it’s always at the back of your mind. This could be keeping me up at night or not letting me focus on what needs to be done. I discovered by drinking chamomile tea it relaxes me and helps me sleep better at night. This might not work for some people they certainly works for me.

3.have a bath

Not everyone Will have a bath but if you do try to have one. This will calm and relax you whether you’d prefer to have a bath with loads of bubbles candles and essential oils or just a simple bath watching a movie and doing a face mask, this can make a big difference. You will immediately feel more chilled out and not stress as much.

4.work out

For some people doing exercise such as going for a run, yoga or just going for a walk will benefit them a lot. Many people say that this relaxes the mind and clears their head. If you’re not the biggest fan of working out you can still try go for a walk or even just outside and get some fresh air.

5.Think about your trip

Yes this sound stupid but by you thinking about the fun or relaxation your going to have will calm your nerves. By you ignoring your anxiety’s will help uplift your mood. Always think of the best of a situation and not the worst!

I hope this has helped you and remember you have nothing to worry about there is a resolution to everything. -Amelia šŸ™‚
